Since 2017, the Swedish home vehicle will become the first in the world to offer an app for smart phones, which will enable the replacement of physical and electronic key. The innovative technology, which will be presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, provides for connection via Bluetooth, offering new opportunities to vehicle use.
The application developed by "Volvo" enables the development of all functions which are currently used for a physical key, like for example to block the door and unlock the doors or luggage, but also for starting the engine.
Moreover, this technology will enable the management of more than a digital key through the application, offering access to various cars "Volvo" located in different countries.
