Microsoft's Skype is slowly righting itself after spending most of the day offline.
The video-and-voice call service fell over at about 0800 UTC (0100 PT), and was useless across the UK, the US, Europe, India, Japan, Australia, and elsewhere – pretty much worldwide, it seems.
Now, some 15 hours later
, it appears Skype is on the mend, with a lot of people claiming it's working for them again. Not all are so lucky: there's still netizens complaining they can't make calls. El Reg was able to successfully make a video call from the US to the UK about 30 minutes ago.
The Skype Twitter feed has been posting the same link to the same blog post over and over and over, with a few jaunty puns failing to lift the spirits of upset users. The post, last updated at 1500 UTC about nine hours ago, reads:
