Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) has announced plans to launch a free business advice scheme for UK start-ups in the financial and technology industries.
Running from November 2015 at QMUL’s School of Economics and Finance, the qNomics initiative will give entrepreneurs access to coaching on business planning, market strategy, funding, accounting and regulatory compliance with client sessions delivered by the university’s economic and law students-who will be supported by consultancy firm Bovill.
The first clinics will take place at QMUL’s Mile End campus and Lincoln’s Inn Field campus and will run annually through to April.
Leon Vinokur, senior lecturer at QMUL’s School of Economics and Finance, will be leading the programme. Vinokur commented:
“qNomics [is] good news for our students because they get ‘real world’ consultancy experience, and its great news for London-based start-ups as they get high quality, expert advice at no cost.
