Six UK ISPs have been ordered by the High Court to block over 100 websites that are enabling piracy.
MP3 download sites such as stafaband.info, rnbxclusive.se and plixid.com will be targeted as part of a fresh round of blocks following an order obtained by BPI in partnership with PPL. The total number of blocked sites for UK users is now 110.
The list of latest additions has not yet been released to the public, but Torent Freak reports that a major
ISP confirmed 17 sites that now require blocking by ISPs, including the aforementioned sites.
Although the majority of the sites on the list are mp3 search engines, it also includes megasearch.co, a search engine for finding files on Kim Dotcom’s Mega cloud service.
